As we close out the school year and prepare for an exciting year ahead, we are proud to share an important milestone at the Bakhita School of Excellence: all 12 current staff contracts have been renewed. This reflects our deep appreciation for the dedication, care, and professionalism our team has shown throughout the year, and our commitment to providing stability and continuity for our students and families.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are also strengthening our internal structures by introducing new leadership positions within the school. From next year, each year level will have a Year Level Coordinator, responsible for supporting teaching quality, student progress, planning, and collaboration within their cohort. This added layer of leadership will help ensure consistency, accountability, and strong communication across classrooms as the school continues to grow.
In addition, our Senior Administration role will oversee school administration as well as manage and support our cooks and cleaners, ensuring smooth daily operations and allowing teachers to focus fully on teaching and learning. This clear structure strengthens teamwork, improves efficiency, and supports the wellbeing of all staff.
These changes come at an exciting time for Bakhita. In 2026, we will be doubling our student population — and in response, we will also be doubling our teaching staff. This growth reflects the trust families place in our school and our commitment to maintaining small class sizes, high-quality teaching, and a supportive learning environment as we expand.
